The 5 Best Copenhagen Clubs
Sep 16 , 2011
Visiting a few Copenhagen clubs may be the perfect way for you to unwind after a long day. These nightclubs are often known for loud music, snazzy cocktails, and dynamite dancing. Keep in mind, though, that many of these clubs open very late, and you just may be dancing until the wee hours of the morning.
VEGA
If you aren't able to make it to any other Copenhagen clubs, make sure you do not miss VEGA. This is one of the most happening night spots in the city. Although the dress code is considered to be casual, it probably wouldn't hurt to dress up a little.
Several bars are located in this club, and live bands perform on most nights. Talented DJ's take over for the rest of the night, playing the hottest dance music to encourage you to shake it all night long.
Rust
Before stopping at the Rust nightclub in Copenhagen, you may want to stop in at the trendy bar upstairs for some pre-club conversation and cocktails. The nightclub portion of this establishment is located in the basement.
Open four nights a week, Wednesday through Saturday, Rust puts several other Copenhagen clubs to shame. Depending on the night, you might be dancing to an eclectic mix of rock, hip hop, and dance music at this popular Copenhagen dance club.
Rosie McGee's
For those who want to start their clubbing night out with full bellies, Rosie McGees is one of the best Copenhagen clubs to get food. The American inspired Tex-Mex cuisine can be found in the lower bars, along with draft beer and carefully crafted cocktails.
In the upper floors, one of the most diverse Copenhagen clubs can be found. Locals and patrons from around the world can be found bumpin' and grindin' to the DJ's tunes.
K3
If you're looking for one of the more upscale Copenhagen clubs, K3 might be your answer. Located at Knabostræde 3, this is another one of the more diverse clubs in the city. Dressing up is not mandatory, but people who do will often have spent more time having fun and less time waiting in line.
Patrons of all ages can be found living it up at K3. Many of them are most likely drawn by the diversity of the music. Along with today's newest dance music, DJ's also play music from the 70's through the 90's.
The Rock
This is one of the more intense Copenhagen clubs. It typically caters to rock and metal fans, who simply enjoy a little head banging and beer every now and then.
After live band performances, DJ's will get to work playing the heaviest rock and metal that just might make your ears bleed – but in a good way! A dance floor is available for those who want to dance, and The Rock also has a smoking room, for those in need of a nicotine boost.
Got techno ringing in your ears? Duck into a Copenhagen bar and chill out for a bit.
